I am Gloria – wife, mother, home-maker and a good cook.  It gives me great joy to bake whenever time permits.   I cook and click –  We (family of 3) eat and enjoy!!!

Growing up in a family associated in the hotel industry for generations and continuing doing so, brilliant home-cooks; I am passionate over food, cooking and love to fuse different flavours and aromas in my cooking style.

Back home (India), my family loves to spend time sharing knowledge about different cuisines from all over the world.  My parents have influenced me with the world of flavours at a very tender age.  My pa gifted me my first chocolate cook-book at the age of eight and my ma would cook a beautiful dish and she would quiz me the ingredients; this happens even today when I visit her.

recipes, fine cooking, healthy recipes

During my stay in Hyderabad (India), I had a successful home-bakery, chocolate making and home-based wine making business.

Apart from cooking, I love reading, cycling, collecting quotes and proverbs and have done short courses in yoga and art of living.
I develop my own recipes and the recipes shared here are tried, tested and can be trusted too.  The spice measurements in cooking mentioned are intuitive (eyeballed).  It can be customized according to your taste buds.

I strongly believe in the dictum “The belly rules the mind”.

Blogging, for me, is one step closer to connect the people who share my same interests and passion over food.  It is a platform to showcase my talent and share it to everyone.

I am sure one and all will enjoy cooking these recipes and look forward to my future posts.    I would be delighted to receive your suggestions / feedback, as it means a lot to me.

  8. Thank you for visiting and following my blog.

I love Indian food and have even made a few dishes, some very simple and some more challenging. My early efforts were only posted to my LJ but since Jan 2015 I’ve started copying my posts to my blog as well. I don’t think I’ve made too many Indian dishes in that time but I am hoping to make some samosas again one of these days.

(I’m not fond of frying so that’s something that I have to motivate myself to do. )

I hope to look through your recipes, Indian and others, in the near future for inspiration.

    1. Nice to know about your interest in Indian cuisine. Regarding samosas, you can bake them; the only difference you will find is the taste. Hope you may find something interesting.
